Remember for only $1, you can get a wonderful meal at 6 p.m. each Wednesday. Cooks are needed. The sign-up is in the entryway at church.

ALL CHURCH WORKDAY

April 30th from 8:30 a.m. until noon, will be an all-church workday. Check the list on the bulletin board for tasks and projects that need to be completed. If you see something in or out of our building that needs attention, please record it on that list or contact Kurt Cooper.

SCRAPBOOK FRIDAY

The third Friday of each month, at 7 p.m. All ladies are invited and it’s a time to put together pages of your favorite photos. No materials are supplied, bring your own. April’s meeting is April 15 th (hope your taxes are done!)

ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASSES

Growing in Christ – includes two themes – Lessons on Assurance and Lessons on Christian Living. Terri Brickey and Allen Waggoner are leading the class. It is for both men and women. Books are still available.

Purpose Driven Life – led by Maggie Wurtz – also for both men and women.

 

Both classes are at 9:30 a.m. each Sunday morning.

MEN’S RETREAT

Men mark your calendars for JUNE 24-25-26. Band of Brothers retreat for all men at Corporation Guard Station. More details coming later. Contact Allen Waggoner if you have any questions (phone number available at church office)

SPRING SALAD LUNCHEON AND GARDEN CRAFT BAZAAR

Mark your calendars for April 8 and 9. This fundraiser is for our Vacation Bible School. Homemade items of a gardening theme will be featured although other craft items will be available. There will be both gift and decorating items. Come buy your gifts for graduation, Mother’s Day, weddings, spring themes, July 4 th etc. All items are high quality. Come join in the feast and fun.

LADIES BIBLE STUDY

Tuesdays at Phyllis Mayberry’s home. DiAnna Miller is teaching “Who is Jesus”. All ladies are invited to attend.

POTLUCK SUNDAY

April 17th, come join the fellowship. Potlucks are always WONDERFUL!

30-HOUR FAMINE

Our youth will again be participating in this event on Friday and Saturday April 22 and 23.

POSTER CONTEST

Children’s Right-to-Life Poster contest entries are due by April 11 th. Age groups are 4-7, 8-10, and 11-14. One winner will be chosen from each age group. Of those three, a grand prize winner will be chosen. Runners up will receive cash prizes. The winner’s poster will be made into a billboard display on Southgate. See the entryway table for entry forms.

Be sure to check in the entryway for good reading material (and free). Periodicals like “NEW MAN”, “TODAY’S CHRISTIAN”, “FOCUS ON THE FAMILY” and more are available
