NEW ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASS

A new Sunday School class for adults will begin on Sunday March 6th at 9:30 a.m., lasting for 13 weeks. Entitled "Growing n Christ", it includes two themes: "Lessons on Assurance" and "Lessons on Christian Living". Teri Brickey and Allen Waggoner will lead the class for men and women. Topics of discussion will include putting Christ first in our lives, His strength, His word, His love, giving, church, good works and witnessing. Basic promises God has made to Christians will be explored. Books will be available. Meet in the parlor.

CHILDREN'S MINISTRIES

The Children's breakfast Club (Sunday mornings at 9:30 a.m.) needs a few more cooks, clean-up personnel and activity people. Shellie Wyss is the Breakfast Club coordinator. She is hoping for a 3 month rotation on each of the above positions. That means you would only be needed once every three months. If you are on the schedule now, you do not need to sign up again.

Wednesday Evenings at 7:00 p.m. needs helpers for music, snacks, Bible Bucks, Preschool, Grade School, and Middle School. See Sunday bulletin for specifics and to sign up or call the church office.

PURPOSE DRIVEN LIFE

"Purpose Driven Life" adult study led by Maggie Wurtz will continue as usual at 9:30 a.m. each Sunday morning.

 

YARD SALE

An indoor version of our popular "yard sales" will be held Saturday, March 12 and 19, downstairs. Get a jump on the yard sale season where you know the weather will be warm, clear and dry. Lots of good household items for sale.

PARENTING TEENS

A "Parenting Teens" seminar will be Thursday, March 3 from 7 - 9 p.m. at Whitman College in Walla Walla. It is free, but donations are accepted. Foster Cline, M.D., co-founder of the popular "Love and Logic Parenting," will present many practical and immediate-help ideas for parenting teens.

 

SPRING SALAD LUNCHEON

Plans have begun for the Spring Salad Luncheon and craft Bazaar scheduled for Friday and Saturday, April 8 and 9 . If you have a quality craft you would like to market, it's time to start! With Mother's and Father's Day, graduations and weddings, spring themes and July 4 festivities upcoming, there are plenty of good gift and decoration ideas to think about, not to mention spring/gardening items. Proceeds will go toward funding this year's Vacation Bible School. BMCC's agriculture department will have their beautiful hanging baskets and bedding plants for sale and vendors will include those from White Salmon, Washington to Elgin, Oregon and points in between.

BASKETBALL SEASON

Basketball season is in full swing at the Salvation Army Gym. Come cheer on the team! The gym is at S.E. 1st and Emigrant. All Star game will be held Tuesday, March 1st at 6 p.m. There will be a free throw and 3 point contest as well.

MARRIAGE WITH LOVE AND LOGIC

"Marriage with Love and Logic" will be presented Friday, March 4 at the Red Lion here in Pendleton, 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. It features Foster Cline, MD and his wife Hermie, married 44 years with 4 children and many foster children over the years. Foster and Hermie provide humorous, practical, insightful and usable situations for continued growth in your marriage. Emphasis is on practical techniques laced with humor. Cost is only $10 per person or you can get a Walla Walla Community College credit (2 hours) for $25.
