WORLD DAY OF PRAYER 2007
On the first Friday in March each year, women and men in more than 170 countries and regions celebrate WORLD DAY OF PRAYER,  an ecumenical celebration of informed prayer.  This year for the Pendleton community, the service will be held on Friday, March 2nd at 2 p.m. in the sanctuary of First Presbyterian Church, 201 SW Dorion Avenue.  "United Under God's Tent" is the theme chosen this year.  The symbol of the "tent" calls us to come together under the sheltering love and protection of God.  It is a call for the faith community to work and pray together for people in need all over the world.  Free childcare is available and the church is handicapped accessible.  If you have questions contact Alice Hepburn 276-7681

WOMEN'S RETREAT
We are excited to announce that we have scheduled a Women's Retreat for May 18-20, 2007.  Reserve this weekend for wonderful time with your fellow sisters in Christ.  Kris Grimm (licensed Pathway to Purpose coach) will lead us in a wonderful, intensive weekend designed to help us find our purpose and grow close to each other at the same time.  There will be a sign-up scheet available at the church.  Call Becky Waggoner for more information.  443-3043
